Introduction
The Coast to Coast Path is a walking trail running for 313km (195 miles) across Northern England. It was devised by Alfred Wainwright and set out in his book A Coast to Coast Walk written in 1973. Walking from West to East, the route starts at St Bees on the Irish Sea and ends at Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Sea. On average it will be 15 miles a day, but the shorted day is 10 miles and the longest day is 24 miles. We have day 10 off from walking which is after the 24 miler. However back into the thick of it on day 11 with 18 miles to cover.
Initially, I was doing it on my own however Chris, my Son, decided to join me on the walk.
Accommodation is booked and is a mixture of Hostels and small Inns and Hotels.
We depart from Epsom on the 15th of April at 6am and arrive in St Bees at 2pm.
